YHO is a non-profit and non-governmental organization aiming to provide health, nutrition, food security and protection services as a humanitarian response to the escalating socio-economic situation in Yemen since 2013.

  • Job Description
  • The SBC,H&N field officer will assist the SBC,H&N Manager in implementing of SBC,H&N activities, evaluation of SBC,H&N Supervisor, mothers and Childs performance in the field, in addition to improved capacity, skills, and competencies of SBC,H&N Supervisor, volunteers, and mothers to provide quality Community education services at community levels.
  • Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist the SBC,H&N Manager in Supervising the work of the coordinators in the fourth target governorates and follow up their work regularly and receive monthly reports and the work of regular feedback.
  • Monthly field supervision to the targeted governorates to evaluate of mobile team workers (SBC,H&N Supervisors ) , Community volunteers and mothers performance during education , in addition to children in the sponsor a child initiative .
  • Following up the implementation of the activities of the programme in the field with SBC,H&N Supervisors, mothers and child focal points during Commutation with them .
  • Following up the success stories the sending from the governorates and Raising monthly to the SBC,H&N Manager .
  • Collect and compile baseline information on child protection / health/ nutrition / education/ and wash parameters of the programme areas and design community based program profile.
  • Keep close coordination and liaison with field team, community, and partners and assist them in developing high quality Community education.
  • Assist the SBC,H&N Supervisor and mothers and child focal points in organizing community meetings, workshops, and campaigns.
  • Pursue coordinators and information officials in the targeted governorates, receive monthly reports (Mothers, Sponsor a child and SBC,H&N reports )
  • Develop monthly narrative achievement report compiled with statistic report to the SBC,H&N programme Manager .
  • To take any other relevant task given by the SBC,H&N Programme Manager.

 

  • Job Requirements
  • A University Degree in social / behavioral sciences, (Sociology Psychology, Health, Education) with an emphasis on strategic communication for behavior development, social mobilization.
  • A minimum of 2 years in awareness and behavior changes projects.
  • Very Good knowledge in English.
  • Proficient in computer applications, especially with MS Word and MS Excel, MS PowerPoint a plus.
  • Able to Communicate, work with people and drive for results.
  • Analysis, planning and organizing skills.
  • Ability to write reports in both English and Arabic language professionally.
  • Be a team player and ready to collaborate with others in a positive manner.
