About Us

Yemen Health Organization was established on May 4, 2013, under an official license from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, in response to the urgent need to address Yemen’s escalating humanitarian and health challenges. The organization was established in a highly complex context characterized by prolonged conflict, a deteriorating health system, disease and epidemic outbreaks, the growing impacts of climate change, and weak infrastructure and essential services. These challenges have significantly increased humanitarian needs, particularly among the most vulnerable and marginalized populations.

The organization was founded by a team of experienced medical and administrative professionals with a clear vision to bridge the gap between the growing needs of affected communities and the limited resources and services available to them. From its inception, Yemen Health Organization has adopted an integrated approach that combines immediate humanitarian response with sustainable development solutions, aiming to improve access to essential healthcare services while strengthening health, food, and water security and addressing the increasing impacts of climate change.

Over the years, the organization has expanded the scope of its interventions and strengthened its presence and partnerships across Yemen, extending its operations to different governorates throughout the country. This growth has been supported by the expertise of its staff, its established networks, and its partnerships with local and international stakeholders.

The organization’s work is centered on community empowerment, capacity building, resilience strengthening, service quality improvement, and sustainable impact. Its approach goes beyond addressing immediate needs to tackling underlying challenges and strengthening communities’ capacity to anticipate, withstand, and recover from future crises.

Today, Yemen Health Organization continues its work with a firm commitment to the principle that healthcare is a fundamental right for all. The organization believes that building a healthier and more stable future for Yemen requires innovative and sustainable solutions, effective partnerships, and meaningful investment in people and communities. Through its interventions, it seeks to strengthen the resilience, recovery, and development of Yemeni communities, even in the most challenging circumstances.
